Gliederung des Studiums:
The Master’s program Management, Communication & IT enables participants to develop and focus on applying skills and theories that allow them to recognize and use market opportunities in- and outside organizations in the field of management, human interaction and applied informatics. Thus they are provided with the necessary base to be innovative and reach sustainable success.

Primary curriculum goals include:
  • to gather sound and application-oriented knowledge to further develop management expertise and approaches to innovative technologies
  • the development of a sound understanding and theory of business informatics and their implications for business development
  • the reflection and discussion of key competencies needed to develop entrepreneurial and intercultural leadership

The significance of information and communication technologies (ICT) in our society is constantly growing. Internationalization and the flexible combination of businesses and their structures are key success factors for modern companies. Innovative IT solutions improve the competitiveness and design the communication between enterprises and customers. Therefore the job market increasingly requires highly qualified personalities, designing efficiently the interface between management and applied informatics and being able to edit and implement concrete applications.

An intensive dialogue with business experts, reflected by research and practical projects, shall procure to the students a sustainable impression on the relevance of the transferred learning. This unique program leading to a master’s degree also offers the possibility to spend a term at one of our numerous international partner universities.
 

Zugangs-
voraussetzungen
Applications for the Master’s program Management, Communication & IT include the official application form and necessary enclosures required. Early application is recommended. In total, MCI admits 30 students per year to the Master’s program Management, Communication & IT.

Admission to the program is granted based upon the following criteria:
  1. CAREER BACKGROUND 30%
    The applicant’s professional background is considered on the basis of submitted application materials. Particular attention is paid to:
    • Education and certificates
    • Academic and professional goals
    • Professional experience

  2. WRITTEN EXAM 30%
    The written entrance exam tests the applicant’s knowledge in general business and management contexts, understanding of information technologies and the implications for the business world and in their English language skills.

  3. INTERVIEW 40%
    The interview is conducted by a commission and gives applicants the opportunity to present themselves personally, to expand on information provided in the application materials, and to explain their academic and professional goals.
